Thank you for visiting RegularJoeOutdoors.com and welcome to new customers! I’m RJ and here’s a little bit of my story. I was raised in the Rockies in Southern Colorado by bears when my parents misplaced me on a hike shortly after I was born. It was a good life living with da bears and they taught me everything I need to know to survive, plus a great growl. When I was about ten years old I… oh who am I kidding?! Let’s go with the real deal before this story gets any further out of control.

I haven’t climbed the K12 or Everest but I have skied in the Alps, camped in the Rockies and hiked in beautiful places like Northern New Mexico and a couple of islands in Hawaii. That was mostly on vacations during my first career in Corporate America.

I have a lot of respect for those who serve although I’m not ex-military or ex-law enforcement. I’m ex-software. Yep, I’m just a Regular Joe who digs the outdoors and wants to provide a unique experience for anyone shopping for outdoor gear. That’s how RegularJoeOutdoors.com came to be. And yes, I am a bit of an Outdoor Goofball...!

Our mission statement is simple: Have Fun!!! If it’s not fun, it’s work, which is a “four letter word” in my book. As a result we’re not your typical online catalog site.

We hope you find the Product Review Videos helpful. Personally I’m not a primitive camper or survivalist but I strive to build those skills. In the meantime, like many of us Regular Joes and Janes, I depend on good gear when I’m outdoors. Of course it's helpful to know what you’re getting before you purchase. The Product Video Review provides you some real-world experience from customers who own and use the gear you’ll find here. Feel free to submit a video if you own something from the catalog. Have fun with it and teach us something while you’re at it. Good, bad or ugly, we’d love to hear how you feel about your gear! Most importantly, remember to have fun!!!
